Everyone wants beautiful, healthy skin.

When you’re struggling with unhealthy skin—infections, acne, hair loss, birthmarks, warts, skin cancer—it can be painful, physically and emotionally. Skin is the largest organ of the body and it’s relatively easy to treat once we diagnose the problem.

“I love dermatology because I can usually figure out what’s happening pretty quickly and help people feel better right away.”

~Dr. Michael Blankinship, MD, PhD

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find at ima dermatology.

Clinically-proven Laser Treatments use state of the art technology that delivers short pulses of light energy. These laser pulses are delivered over the affected area without using needles or toxins. Normally, you will be able to see the results in just two, three or four treatments. Sessions last about 15-30 minutes.

CO2 Wrinkle Treatments can reduce wrinkles gently using carbon dioxide. It’s a proven solution to treat wrinkles, sun-damaged skin, discoloration, fine lines and scars. Your skin will be treated with laser pulses varying in  intensity. The treatment is comfortable and quicker than traditional resurfacing. You will see smoother, softer skin, even just after one treatment. Then over time, age spots and wrinkles will begin to improve.

Vascular Treatments can successfully remove discolorations, such as sun spots, freckles, rosacea and age spots – as well as pigmentation abnormalities like port wine stains, facial veins, scars, stretch marks, warts and Poikiloderma. During the treatment, the area being treated is absorbed by blood vessels which removes the imperfections. You most likely will see positive results right away.

PicoWay® System

Say goodbye to tattoos, dark spots, acne scars and wrinkles.

PicoWay® system uses a high power laser beam with ultra-short pulses* to transform your skin from the inside out! PicoWay effectively treats acne scars, wrinkles, dark spots and removes unwanted tattoos - all with low to no downtime. Patients can resume normal activities and even apply makeup over acne scar or wrinkle treated skin within a day of treatment.

What Can PicoWay® Treat?

  • Did you know that nearly 40% of those with acne have some degree of scarring? Many acne scars result from a loss of collagen in the skin. PicoWay® Resolve is a fractional, ultra-short, picosecond laser that reaches below the surface of the skin to stimulate production of collagen and elastin, without breaking the outermost layer of the skin. In clinical studies, 94% of treated areas improved and patients were highly satisfied with results.

  • Millions of people each year seek treatment for their wrinkles. Wrinkles can be caused by a loss of collagen and elastin in the skin. PicoWay® Resolve is a fractional, non-invasive, needle free treatment option for wrinkles. Resolve uses ultra-short laser pulses to reach under the skin, without breaking the outer layer of the skin. Picosecond lasers are proven to stimulate collagen and elastin.

  • Skin discoloration is common, yet treatable. Dark spots, or benign pigmented lesions, such as freckles, liver spots (age spots), and café-au-lait (brown patches), appear in many people on different areas of the skin. Some spots are related to excessive sun exposure. Others, like melasma, can be caused by hormone changes, often impacting women following pregnancy. Many of these skin discolorations can be distressing and affect quality of life.

  • PicoWay® is a high power lower with ultra short pulses that shatters tattoo ink, but leaves the outer layer of the skin intact. PicoWay® treats a wide range of tattoo colors across a broad range of skin types. Over a series of brief treatments, PicoWay® can eliminate most tattoos. That’s why PicoWay® is the tattoo removal laser of choice by the nation’s leading tattoo removal provider network, Invisible Ink Tattoo Removers.

HOUVA® Phototherapy System

Although there is no cure for psoriasis, our phototherapy products can help improve quality of life by reducing symptoms.
Phototherapy, also known as “light therapy,” is the use of ultraviolet light (UV) to slow the rate of skin cell production. During phototherapy, the affected skin area is exposed to UV light for a predetermined period, often fewer than 10 minutes. Light therapy typically clears skin in 20-25 sessions.

Treating Vitiligo with Phototherapy
Narrowband UVB light phototherapy devices have proven to be highly effective in the re-pigmentation process. They work by stimulating the production of melanocytes. In a study conducted in Italy, more than 95% of patients experienced re-pigmentation as a result of phototherapy. The process is slow, often lasting months, but treatment for up to 10 minutes only 2-3 times per week can yield favorable results.

Other clinical diagnosisthat in office light therapy is used for are:

Atopic Dermatitis
Eczema
Chronic Urticaria
Mycosis Fungoides (Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma)

Lichen Planus
Pityriasis Lichenoides
Pityriasis Roseaca
Pruritus
